Bamaga Hospital Rectification Project – Queensland Health

GWCH was engaged by Queensland Health to deliver the Design & Construct package for the Bamaga Hospital Rectification Project. The hospital’s existing hydraulics were in poor condition and unable to meet current capacity requirements, so GWCH was tasked with demolishing outdated services and installing a fully upgraded plumbing system, including a dedicated water treatment plant.

Due to the remote location, the project required careful logistics for materials and tradespeople. GWCH mobilised a dedicated team to remain on-site for the 12-month duration, ensuring seamless delivery on time and within budget.

As part of our commitment to the local community, GWCH employed local Indigenous team members, supporting both the project and the region’s workforce development.
